Zaks has traded in Norwich since 1976, where locally it is famous and the story of its origins from a caravan in the centre of the city are etched in legend, where grandparents, parents and children alike love the ambience and experience of a meal at these authentic American diners. Zak’s authenticity will reflect

in each location, so large cities may demand a New York style diner whereas coastal towns

in counties such as Cornwall may necessitate a Californian designed outlet and dare we say the highlands of Scotland, an Alaskan approach. The essence is to mirror the locale, ensuring that customers feel comfortable and enjoy the Zaks experience whilst being assured that the quality and range of the menu is constant throughout the franchise network. Whether “walking here” in a New York style diner or “surfing” in a Californian Zaks, be assured that our famous Zaks burger will be equally delicious, whatever the authentic memorabilia

depicts. Because we have the flexibility to

design each diner to fit in with the neighbourhood we are not a restaurant chain where “it’s Tuesday, so it must be Newcastle”, you’ll know exactly where you are from the unique interior with its exclusive memorabilia.

capturing the tastes of the USA with our extensive menu delivered in awesome locations with a fantastic atmosphere. It is all about the

Burger at Zaks, made with 100% beef and no additives, the burger can be served in over 20 different ways, not including how it is cooked. Whilst it is all about the burgers we

also serve a wide range of authentic American dishes from baby back ribs to a southern fried chicken dinner! Our hot sauce is hot and our sour cream is cool!

We also have lots of options for vegetarians and a freshly cooked junior menu. With the many ways you can have our famous burgers in a unique environment it really stands us out from the crowd - we are not just another burger bar!

We have become a destination diner with customers travelling many miles to enjoy the atmosphere, their favourite burger attended to by their favourite member of staff, listening to their favourite music means a great time will be had by all.

Zaks imports ingredients and products for authenticity but also recognises the value in supporting local suppliers, which is why its meat and other fresh produce are all from neighbourhood producers. We look to replicate this ethos in your neighbourhoods supporting local businesses and people.

Our franchise team has over 50 year’s experience with Zaks and even more in the market sector which is a reflection of how much we love our brand. We bring this experience to train and guide our franchisees through the rigours of opening this exciting business and becoming a member of the "Zaks Family". The key to success in any franchise is support and in this respect we have it in abundance.

Every franchisee will have the benefit of drawing on the experience of our team to support in premises and location evaluation and our in-house design department will assist the architect, designers and project managers to ensure the premises reflects the quality of the brand.

Zaks – “Zaks Moments of Love” training

Our extensive and unique training programme will ensure that all franchisees learn all aspects of running a successful Zaks franchise by attending an intensive tailored training academy at our head office or at one of our other trading sites. Practical hands-on training will be given at each franchisees premises prior to opening and launch of the business.

No previous experience is required as the comprehensive training will ensure that within a short period of time you will be in a position to run your own Zaks franchise knowing that you have a dedicated team in the background ready and willing to help and support you. The only restriction is the limit of your imagination, motivation and desire to succeed. Every franchisee, as part of the package, will receive for reference our “Moments of Love” suite of manuals covering all aspects of the business

Zaks – the investment

The minimum investment to buy a Zaks franchise is £100,000 + VAT.

Based on the most recent performance of company owned diners, turnover is between £850k to £1m per annum and growing with a healthy net profit returned. If franchisees adhere to the model and guidance there is no reason why they cannot achieve similar results once established.
